Today, the Verdisian government has announced that they are looking for volunteers who want to be the first to move to the land claim. There are also investment opportunities opening up, which can be discussed directly with government officials.
In the announcement published just an hour before this writing, the types of skills required for the first residents are specified. This includes off-grid living, land clearing, (temporary) infrastructure and defense. These should set the ground work for allowing the following groups of residents to move to the country and is therefore pioneering work.
In our opinion, the types of challenges that come with such a project might be off-putting to some, but interesting to others. If you or someone you know could be interested in being one of the initial settlers in a young country, this opportunity is absolutely unique and could bring some of the following benefits, according to the press release on the government website:
A fast track to citizenship, allowing for permanent residence and all other benefits that come with the passport, in particular travel freedom as soon as agreements have been reached with some of the countries the government is in active communication with.
The community around the first residents will likely form the backbone for the first generations in the Free Republic of Verdis. Additionally, the first businesses to start operations in the country are likely to provide a lot of job opportunities to the residents who helped establish the foundation of the nation.
Additional benefits and more information about the newly opened program can be found on the official website.
